If you recently ordered the new IBM/Lenovo X41 Tablet PC you've probably got a fairly long wait ahead of you. I recently spoke to a customer support representative and Lenovo/IBM is almost beginning to ship X41 Tablets that were ordered in mid-July.
If you ordered an X41 in mid-July, your computer isn't likely to be shipped -- not arrive -- for another two weeks. And that, unfortunately, could be a best-case scenario.
Delayed shipments aren't unusual for just-introduced computer -- and other new electronic products -- but that's not very comforting if you're champing at the bit to receive your X41.
The "two to four weeks" estimate for shipping is more likely six to eight weeks.
